Getting Started Playing Bridge
Many affiliated clubs conduct regular classes. Some are for the complete beginner with lessons run over a series of weeks and some are for the improving player.
Supervised classes are offered at many venues so that players can gain confidence after the initial lessons before they move on to more competitive duplicate play and beyond. Supervised classes are often run weekly, and players can remain in supervised sessions until they have reached a standard where they are ready to move on to playing in the regular club duplicate sessions.
If you keen and a self-starter, you can use online bridge where you can play against real people from all around the world who are of varying standards. Alternatively, you can practice your game by playing computer programs, such as Bridge Baron or Jack to help you after you have been taught the basics by a good bridge teacher.
